On Tuesday June 16th, High Wind together with Bachmann Electronic, Bakker Sliedrecht and Conrollab organize a joint event in Rotterdam on “Model Based Engineering”. The successful completion of the Boom Lock was the motive to organize this event. The Boom Lock is a device that controls the movements of the crane hook and the suspended load on offshore cranes, which makes offshore wind turbine installation faster, less expensive and more reliable. Model Based Engineering has a large potential for the maritime sector, especially for the design and realization of complex control systems. Therefore, we are happy to invite you and your colleagues for this event.
The Boom Lock was developed by High Wind in cooperation with Bachmann Electronic, Bakker Sliedrecht and Controllab. The most important tool for this cooperation was Model Based Engineering, with emphasis on modelling and simulation. During the Boom Lock event experts from these four different companies will illustrate how Model Based Engineering helps in substantially decreasing the project lead time.
